Demonstrators in Holland support genocide charge against President Bashir

Dozens of Darfuris demonstrated last Friday in the Netherlands in support of the International Criminal Court’s decision to add a charge of genocide to the warrant of arrest against Omar Al Bashir, the president of Sudan. The demonstrators handed over a memorandum to the representative of the Prosecutor of the ICC at the court’s premises in The Hague. The memorandum endorsed the court’s decision to add three charges of genocide against Bashir for violence against the Fur, Zaghawa and Masalit peoples in western Sudan. The peaceful protesters also handed over copies of the memorandum to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and the European Union and the United Nations. Mustafa Ali Dinar, head of the Darfur Union in the Netherlands, said in an interview with Radio Dabanga that he went to the court to support the Darfur issue.
