The migration of 5000 Darfuri refuges in Central African Republic from one camp to another began Wednesday. The refugees will move to a camp north-east of the capital of Bangui. The United Nations is carrying out the operation at the request of the campers after the refugees complained about the security situation in the area surrounding their old camp.

The old camp in the Sam area will be replaced by the new one in Bambari. One refugee told Radio Dabanga that the migration process began yesterday with the transfer of 30 people, including staff, into the new camp. He explained that the transfer to the new camp will continue for a period of six weeks.
