Clashes erupt after killing in Niertete, West Darfur

The population in Khor Ramla were panicked as clashes erupted yesterday between two armed groups in the area. A source from Niertete (5 kilometres from Khor Ramla) told Radio Dabanga that the clashes started after a person was killed who was affiliated with one of the armed groups.

The other group brought blood money to compensate for the crime. But the victims’ group refused the money and insisted to bring the killer. The source added the weekly market was completely deserted.
