C Darfur health minister: significant lack of medicines in the state

The health minister of Central Darfur revealed the state’s hospitals are facing a “significant lack” of drugs and medical equipments.  Issa Mohamed Moussa Yousef told Radio Dabanga on Tuesday the quota of drugs allocated to hospitals is insufficient along with the amont of technical devices required by clinics.He predicted both issues would be addressed during the annual plan of his ministry and the Legislative Council, also attended by the administration of projects’ development at the federal ministry of health.Photo by Albert González Farran/ UNAMID

The health minister of Central Darfur revealed the state’s hospitals are facing a “significant lack” of drugs and medical equipments. 

Issa Mohamed Moussa Yousef told Radio Dabanga on Tuesday the quota of drugs allocated to hospitals is insufficient along with the amont of technical devices required by clinics.

He predicted both issues would be addressed during the annual plan of his ministry and the Legislative Council, also attended by the administration of projects’ development at the federal ministry of health.
