12 dead, 34 injured after East Darfur ‘road race’

Twelve people died, and 34 others were wounded on Wednesday evening in a traffic accident in the area of El Sharab near Ed Daein, the capital of East Darfur. The accident occurred when the drivers of two commercial Land Cruiser pick-ups on the way from the South Darfur capital, Nyala, to Ed Daein started racing each other.The speeding vehicles collided and overturned, killing 12 passengers, a witness told Radio Dabanga.
