Delegates of both Camp Djabal and Camp Bredjing in eastern Chad will not participate in the Doha negotiations, said one of the leaders of the two camps. In an interview with Radio Dabanga, he said that the leaders held a consultation and decided afterwards to refuse to participate because they don’t believe what is happening in Doha will not lead to a comprehensive peace in Darfur. On the other hand, some delegates claiming to represent the refugees have gone to Doha. Another camp leader, speaking from Mile, said that the refugees who arrived in Doha do not represent them, but only represent themselves.
