JEM members re-arrested despite framework agreement

Security organs have re-arrested Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) members who were released after the signing of the Framework Agreement between the JEM and the government in Doha. One of the terms of the agreement was the release of JEM supporters who were arrested after the JEM attack on Omdurman in 2008.

Security organs have re-arrested Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) members who were released after the signing of the Framework Agreement between the JEM and the government in Doha. One of the terms of the agreement was the release of JEM supporters who were arrested after the JEM attack on Omdurman in 2008. Defense lawyer for the JEM, Adam Baker told Radio Dabanga that the arrest was illegal and he said 15 people were arrested and possibly more. There is still fifty-five JEM supporters who have not been released in accordance with the agreement made in Doha.
