Sudan soldier shot dead in South Darfur club

A soldier belonging to the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) was shot dead in a show club at Jimeza Komura village, north of Kass in South Darfur, on Wednesday night. The incident took place when the soldier was sitting with others, carrying his weapon, at a local show club at 9.30 pm. Witnesses reported that a masked gunman dressed in a military uniform entered the club, opened fire on the soldier -named El Hadi Jubirko- and killed him on the spot. The assassinator then took his gun and fled. The military personnel has buried their killed colleague. The following day at 10.30 am, they stormed Jimeza Komura and started to inspect houses and beat citizens. Several villagers fled to Kass town, some fled into the open, while others remained at home in a state of terror, the source reported.
