The locality government building in Ed Damir, capital of Sudan\u2019s River Nile state, was targeted by two drones, presumably fired by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Monday night. Another drone targeted a Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) in Rabak in White Nile state.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The River Nile state Security Committee said in a statement (a copy of which was obtained by Radio Dabanga) that the advanced defences were able to shoot down two drones that attacked the local government building in Ed Damir on Monday night. It added that the first drone crashed on top of the building and the second on the wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The committee confirmed that there were no injuries or human losses, saying that the attack resulted in a limited fire that the Civil Defence Police dealt with quickly and were able to extinguish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The River Nile state Security Committee confirmed that the security situation is under control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Fasher<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported elsewhere by Radio Dabanga today, at least 27 civilians are known to have died, and dozens more wounded, in drone and artillery shelling<\/a> by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on El Fasher, capital of North Darfur that has lasted from Saturday until Monday. The acting Wali (governor) of North Darfur has condemned the shelling as \u201ca massacre\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Sudan, Clementine Nkweta-Salami, has condemned attacks at a hospital, residential areas, and a livestock market in El Fasher<\/a>, capital of North Darfur, which reportedly killed or injured at least 97 civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement<\/a> on Monday, Nkweta-Salami says she is \u201cdeeply saddened by these horrific attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure such as hospitals, apartments, and markets\u201d.<\/p>\n
