Amidst his Horn of Africa tour, Hemedti visited Nairobi to meet with Kenyan President William Ruto. A Tagaddum<\/em> delegation led by former PM Abdallah Hamdok held talks with the president of Djibouti, focused on halting the ongoing war in Sudan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Lt Gen Mohamed \u2018Hemedti\u2019 Dagalo, held discussions with Kenyan President William Ruto in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting focused on \u201crecent developments in Sudan, examining the root causes of the war and exploring solutions to alleviate the crisis and the suffering of our people\u201d, according to a post by Hemedti on his X<\/em> page<\/a> (formerly Twitter<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hemedti explained that he presented Ruto with his \u201cstrategy to cease hostilities and start negotiations for a comprehensive resolution\u201d, thanking Kenya’s and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) for their \u201csubstantial efforts to help bring an end to this conflict, notably the 41st Extraordinary Session<\/a> of the IGAD Assembly of Heads of State and Government in Djibouti on December 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RSF commander arrived in Nairobi as part of his tour to member states of the African Union. He visited Djibouti<\/a> to meet President Ismail Guelleh on Sunday, and held talks in Ethiopia with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed<\/a> and in Uganda with President Yoweri Museveni<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday evening, Sudan\u2019s junta leader Lt Gen Abdelfattah El Burhan lashed out at countries<\/a> that received Hemedti on his current tour, accusing them of \u201cpartnering in the crimes committed by these murderers\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tagaddum<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A delegation of the Civil Democratic Forces (Tagaddum<\/em>), headed by former Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, held discussions with Djiboutian President Ismail Guelleh in the capital, Djibouti, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Osama Saeed, member of the delegation, told Radio Dabanga that Tagaddum<\/em> \u201cprovided the President of Djibouti with a comprehensive explanation of <\/em>our vision for stopping the war<\/a> and establishing sustainable peace\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation also informed President Guelleh of the recent efforts made by Tagaddum<\/em> in communicating with the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and RSF, which led to the signing<\/a> of the Addis Ababa Declaration Agreement between Tagaddum<\/em> and the RSF in the Ethiopian capital on Monday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Addis Ababa Declaration<\/a> outlines the RSF\u2019s commitment to a cessation of hostilities, subject to the Tagaddum <\/em><\/a>coalition<\/a> aligning with SAF<\/a> commanders on procedural matters.<\/p>\n
