Darfur affected by rising prices due to recent fighting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A survey conducted by the University of Nyala in selected areas of South  Darfur State has found high prices of commodities and food, especially for the displaced and vulnerable.&nbsp;The citizens of Kass Locality were affected by rising prices because of the conflicts in the neighboring areas, which caused most of the inhabitants to flee from the agriculturally productive areas to the outskirts of towns, leaving behind their agricultural and trade activities.<!--break--> For his part, Abdullah Hassan Musa, Director of Environmental Health and Food Control for Kass Locality, found that increased population density has led to increased pressure on services.
