One of the elders of Ardamata displaced camp said that the share of maize provided to them was reduced from 9 kilograms per indivudual per month to seven kilograms. The sheikh of another camp, El Hujaj, also complained of a shortage. He explained that there have been a large number of births since 2005, and this has not been accounted for in the provision of ration cards. The representatives of the displaced said that the current World Food Programme budget is not sufficient and needs more donor funding.<!--break-->Meanwhile, the IDPs in camps around Nertiti in western Jebel Marra appealed to humanitarian organizations to provide tarpaulins, which are urgently needed due to continuous heavy rains in the region. Sheikh Adam Hamid Adam, sheikh of Camp North near Nertiti, told Radio Dabanga that more than five thousand families in the camp are in desperate need of sheeting because they remain in the open&nbsp;and do not have protection from the rain.
