They also abducted three members of his security detail, including a lieutenant in the Central Reserve Force and two soldiers of the regular forces. Witnesses said the assassination was carried out on the road between Kass and Shataya.<\/p>\n<p>The witnesses told Radio Dabanga that soon after the first ambush the gunmen stopped in the same way 16 people, but did not harm them. Instead they asked the group of 16 people to deliver a letter to the South Darfur Governor Hamid Musa Kasha, demanding the release of the Deputy Nazir of the Misseriya whom Kasha had ordered detained earlier. As demanded of them, the group arrived yesterday to Nyala and met with the governor.<\/p>\n<p>The tribal official is apparently Harun Imam Hassan, who was arrested by security authorities during a public meeting in Kass town on 17 September, sources told Radio Dabanga at the time.
