They had been kidnapped from their offices in the capital of South Darfur  State, Nyala, on 22 June. The German foreign ministry confirmed the report separately to other news agencies.<!--break-->The men were working for the agency Technisches&nbsp;Hilfswerk&nbsp;(THW), which in German means the \u201cAgency for Technical Relief.\u201d It is primarily a volunteer organization controlled by the German federal government.
