One of the citizens explained that there are frequent deaths each year in the fall season because of the difficulty of transporting cases of obstructed childbirth to the town Rehed Al Bardi across the rugged roads.<!--break--> There is also no obstetrician at the hospital there. Um Dafug is 300 kilometres away from Nyala and 150 kilometers away from Rehed al Bardi.
