The President of the Liberation and Justice Movement Tigani Sese accused government agencies in West Darfur of involvement in the recent events that took place at Hamidiya Camp in Zalingei. He did not identify which specific agencies.<\/p>\n

One side in the conflict at Hamadiya Camp was a group of displaced people that supported the Doha negotiations. The group was allegedly linked to Sese\u2019s LJM, though Sese has denied this. After the murders of several of the pro-Doha group, this group was expelled from the camp and later undertook a retaliatory raid from the government-controlled town of Zalingei, killing three camp leaders.<\/p>\n

The LJM chief is the only major rebel faction leader involved in negotiations with the government. Sese did not rule out the possibility of reaching an agreement with the government by the end of this month, given the political will by the government, and given that the agreement on the table would be comprehensive and fair. He acknowledged that the sticking points in the negotiations with the government are justice and the amount of compensation.<\/p>\n
