A government official in Kass, the comissioner Ismail&nbsp;Yahia Abdullah&nbsp;told Radio Dabanga that the police confronted the attackers.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Reports from the region indicate that some 240 families have fled the attack and are now in Kass. Sources in the city said that the newly displaced people are homeless and living in the streets.<!--break-->But the commissioner denied this and also said the number of families was not so high.
