A woman from the Misseriya tribe was killed allegedly at the hands of Rizeigat tribesmen south of Kass on Thursday. One of Misseriya notables said that the victim was named Aisha Abakr Mohamed and was 93 old years. She was on her farm when the attackers shot her and stole her horse.<\/p>\n

In a neighboring area, Nertiti, which lies northward just across the boundary of West Darfur State, a group of camel herders on Monday abused a man named Abdellatif Abdullah Hassan Adam. One source told Radio Dabanga from the area that one of them cut off his genitals with a knife. The source added that the attack happened because the camel herders are trying to enter the farms in the region.<\/p>\n

The Misseriya notable who spoke to Radio Dabanga accused the governor of South Darfur and the commissioner of Kass of supporting \u2018genocide\u2019 against the Misseriya in the region. He said that they are biased toward one of the parties \u2013 a reference to the Rizeigat with whom the Misseriya have been involved in a costly tribal feud. He said also that they have not acted to stop the attacks by pastoralists on farmers in the region.<\/p>\n

He also called on the United Nations and the UNAMID forces to intervene to protect Misseriya and people of the region from genocide, referring to gatherings of the parties in the region.<\/p>\n
