Darfur security committee arrives to Niertete"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The security committee of West  Darfur State, accompanied by civil administrators, arrived in Niertete yesterday to transfer the town&#8217;s security office to another premises outside of the town. This move follows disturbances last Saturday in which the security briefly detained more than 200 citizens.<!--break-->The arriving delegation will make two committees to address developments in the town. One will investigate the murder of Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah, the bodyguard of the commissioner, who was killed in his own room Friday night, sparking off a security crackdown the next morning. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The second committee will investigate losses of citizens in the recent disturbances in the town. They will also investigate abuses by security against the citizens. The committee will comprise include police, detectives and civil administrators. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the Omda of Niertete, Ar-Rashid  Mohamed Aissa, the relatives of the slain bodyguard are demanding punishment of the perpetrators. He told Radio Dabanga that police received seven reports of lost property following the violence last weekend. The security are accused of having tortured 18 people.
