Forty Darfuris are missing since last Saturday after being abducted by an unidentified armed group in the city of Misurata, Libya. A man from Darfur in the city told Radio Dabanga they became trapped by the continuous fighting. Meanwhile, more than 3000 Sudanese migrants escaped Libya via the south.<\/strong>The source in Misurata described ongoing attacks on them by militias and Libyan citizens. He called on the Sudanese authorities and the international community to help them to be quickly rescued.<\/p>\n

In the south of Libya, more than 3000 Sudanese, mostly people from Darfur, escaped into Chad. The migrants had given up on the possibility that the government would remove them from Libya. One migrant on the border between Libya and Chad said a large crowd of Sudanese are stranded trying to cross into Chad. He described the conditions of the Sudanese in the southern parts of Libya as serious, especially in Kofra and Sabha. He said that an unknown number of Sudanese have been killed and their shops burned and their property taken.<\/p>\n

In Tobruk, Libya, Darfuris there complained of frequent attacks on them because of their skin color. A native Darfuri from Tobruk told Radio Dabanga that they are in dire need of a quick evacuation from the area where thee is fighting between the warring groups.<\/p>\n
