Darfur tribal affairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The leaders of Girayda area in South Darfur decided to present a critical memo to the governor of the state, Abdul Hamid Musa Kasha, in protest of placing Saadon district under the administration of Nyala rather than Girayda. A leading figure from the area told Radio Dabanga that they strongly object to the interference of the governor in tribal issues. <!--break-->He objected to a provision in a newly signed tribal honor agreement that forms a new administrative unit in Saadon. He said that there is dispute over the placement of the district under the governance either Girayda or Tulus, not Saadon. He also affirmed that they have documents and maps showing that the area belongs to Girayda since 1935 and he stated that the decision should have come from the legislative assembly and not the governor, thereby making it illegal.
