The strike led to the complete paralysis of the hospital, whereby all surgical operations were stopped, including the surgical operations of the emergency department.<!--break--> A medical source told Radio Dabanga that the strike was due to lack of equipment for the doctors of the hospital to continue their work with &#8212; such as gloves, threads, blades and bandages, in addition to lack of nursing personnel in the Department of Surgery. The source described the surgery ward as having a \u2018repulsive\u2019 environment. The source also affirmed to Radio Dabanga that the reasons of the strike include not giving the payment and fees for rent to the surgeons and not providing an attractive environment for almost twelve months.
