One of the militias said they represented Elmirim&#8217;s Youth,  and that they would keep the trains under their control until the  Sudanese <\/span><span>g<\/span><span>overnment allows for trade between North and South Sudan.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div id=\"magicdomid1024\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Their conditions for the release of the goods are either a one-billion <\/span><span>Sudanese <\/span><span>pounds (373,6 mn USD)<\/span><span> <\/span><span>payment,  or a formal agreement allowing the trade with South Sudan, which had  been held back since <a href=\"http:\/\/www.radiodabanga.org\/node\/14471\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the army&#8217;s arrival in Abyei last May<\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span><!--break--><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div id=\"magicdomid853\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>One of the trains, which was carrying passengers, was released on Wednesday by the Young Elmirim.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div id=\"magicdomid1025\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>The leader of the military presence on the field<\/span><span><strong> <\/strong><\/span><span>told  Radio Dabanga that the remaining train carries goods belonging to the  high-ranking army officials, as well as to several traders from  Khartoum.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Each train consists of nineteen cars loaded with goods, among which sugar, floor, fuel and building materials.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div id=\"magicdomid1856\"><span><strong>Update (10\/11 8:23 GMT+1):<\/strong> <strong>One of the militias belonging to the Young Elmirim group detaining the trains contacted Radio Dabanga<\/strong><\/span><strong><span> on Wednesday evening<\/span><span>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span><br \/><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div id=\"magicdomid1858\"><strong><span>He   said that several clashes had taken place with the government forces   through the afternoon as a result of the government&#8217;s decision to   withdraw the train towards the city of Al-Mudgled.&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span><br \/><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div id=\"magicdomid1860\"><strong><span>He explain<\/span><span>ed<\/span><span> that his group destroyed <\/span><span>two (<\/span><span>2<\/span><span>)<\/span><span> land cruisers, killed <\/span><span>three (<\/span><span>3<\/span><span>)<\/span><span> and injured six (6) soldiers from the government forces, while the   Young Elmirim lost three (3) men and had four (4) injured members.&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span><br \/><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div id=\"magicdomid1862\"><strong><span>He   furthermore claimed that his group still retains full control of the   train, and that the government soldiers fled after the clash.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span><br \/><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div id=\"magicdomid1864\"><strong><span>One woman carrying her four-month-old baby was killed accidentally during the confrontations.
