Al-Hilu says the army has 60 military posts in the state<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Army (SPLA-North) has more than 60 military posts in South Kordofan, a leader of the Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Movement (SPLM-South Kordofan) told Radio Dabanga on Tuesday.  <\/span>Abdul Aziz Adam Al-Hilu, president of the SPLM-South Kordofan, said, \u201cThe troops are deployed in different parts of the state including the city of Kadugli. The military strength is increasingly in favor of the SPLA in South Kordofan and the Nuba Mountains.\u201d   <\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
Al-Hilu added in the interview with Radio Dabanga that the military situation in the region has led to the displacement of nearly 400,000 citizens in South Kordofan<\/span>, with <\/span>70,000 in Kadugli alone. <\/span><\/div>\n

The displacement is caused by the military activities of the Sudanese forces and shelling by the Sudanese Air Force, he said.<\/div>\n
He <\/span>added<\/span> that the SPLA had agreed to cease hostilities with the Sudanese government and observe truce for a period of one month in order to allow the international community to allocate aid to the affected regions across the state. <\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
However, Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir<\/span> apparently rejected <\/span>the offer of truce<\/span> <\/span> as well as <\/span>the provision of <\/span>relief for needy people in South Kordofan<\/span>.<\/span><\/div>\n

“The humanitarian situation in South Kordofan and the Nuba Mountains is in need of urgent intervention. The air raids carried out by Sudanese Air Force do not even allow farmers to continue farming in the state,\u201d he told Radio Dabanga.  <\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
He added that the militia forces allied to the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) had looted villages and property belonging to citizens who fled to the mountains.<\/span><\/div>\n

Coalition<\/strong> to topple NCP<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

About the signing of the coalition alliance with <\/span>SLA-Abdul Wahid and SLA-Minnu Minnawi<\/span>, Abdul Aziz Adam Al-Hilu stressed that its objective is to topple the NCP and facilitate regime change in Sudan. <\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cIt means achieving democratic transformation through constitutional convention. It should involve all political forces after the departure of the regime and the powerful gang in the NCP. We should then write a secular constitution,\u201d Al-Hilu said, adding that the alliance is a promising sign. <\/span><\/div>\n

Al Hilu told Radio Dabanga, “All the marginalised movements like the Beja Congress, Nubian Coalition-North and CAD-North Kordofan should come to sign on the document so that we can move together towards Khartoum and bring down the regime.”<\/span><\/div>\n

He said that consultations with the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) were under progress and that it was only a matter of time until the group joined the coalition alliance. <\/span><\/div>\n

He further appealed to all political forces to immediately join the alliance and form a strong front to dismantle the NCP and overthrow the regime.
