Five different groups come together for the first time to agree on political and military command of the joint forces<\/STRONG><\/P> Leaders of various opposition groups came together for a meeting in an undisclosed location last week, sources told Radio Dabanga on Wednesday.In a first of its kind meeting, Abdual Aziz Adam Al Hilu, chairperson of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-South Kordofan (SPLM-SK), Abdel Wahed Mohammed Ahmed Nur head of one faction of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM-AW), Minni Arko Minnawi, president of the other faction of SLM-MM, Yasir Saeed Arman, secretary-general of the SPLM-North and Mansour Abdul Qadir of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) met to contemplate coalition.<\/P> The various leaders discussed ways to agree on a uniform program to bring down the Sudanese regime. Arman said in an interview with Radio Dabanga that the meeting had reached agreement on a committee to prepare the structure of a joint political and military command.<\/P> \u201cThe leadership includes 10 people from each organization for compiling the agreement. All marginalised groups should join us and over throw the brick walls of the National Congress,\u201d Arman said.<\/P> He added that the joint forces should build freedom, democracy and peace and unite the north as well as build strategic relations with the South.<\/P> In response to a question on whether there is room for negotiations after what happened in South Kordofan and Blue Nile, Arman said that the movement had already received an invitation to meet with the Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, the South African President Thabo Mbeki and the US special envoy in Addis Ababa.<\/P> However, Arman noted that there is now a new reality, referring to what is going on in South Kordofan and Blue Nile states. He accused the regime of committing war crimes in the two states that has caused displacement of tens of thousands of civilians.<\/P> He added that more than 100 members of the SPLM-N had been arrested in 13 states of Sudan and the government had outlawed the organization.<\/P><\/p>\n
