Sudanese president advises people to turn to God for a solution from the ongoing economic crisis<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir advised the Sudanese people to seek help from God to get the nation out of the ongoing economic crisis on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

While addressing the opening session of the national conference of the finance sector in Khartoum, Bashir demanded that the new exit strategy for getting out of the looming crisis is asking help from God.<\/p>\n

PCP: Give up power<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kamal Omar Abdel Salam, secretary of the opposition Popular Congress Party (PCP) said that the crisis has been created by Bashir and his ruling National Congress Party (NCP). \u201cThere is no other solution but for them to give up their power,\u201d Kamal Omar Abdel Salam said in an interview with Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n

He added that the government headed by Bashir was surviving on high interest rates on borrowed money. He also blamed the president for leading the wars in Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile that killed thousands of people.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow can Bashir ask people to show faith in God after everything he has done? The solution to the current crisis lies in overthrowing the regime in Khartoum,\u201d said Kamal Omar Abdel said.<\/p>\n

Darfur refugees to Bashir: Step down<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Darfuri refugees voiced their opinion against Bashir’s plea by asking him to step down and do justice to Sudan’s public.<\/p>\n

Ahmed Atem, coordinator of North Darfur camps, told Radio Dabanga that Bashir’s resignation is the only thing that would get Sudan out of the current economic crisis, inflation and price hike.<\/p>\n

\u201cBashir should consider to turn himself to God first. What he did and is doing in Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile, and all over the Sudan. The only way to justice is by offering his resignation.\u201d Ahmed Atem said.<\/p>\n

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant against Bashir for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur.<\/p>\n

National Front: Overthrow regime<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the other hand, the National Front petitioned an appeal on Wednesday to overthrow the regime in Khartoum. Headed by lawyer Ali Mahmoud Hassanein, the National Front made an appeal to all Sudanese people across the nation to make an appeal to bring down the Sudanese regime after evening prayers on Friday, October 21. He asked all Sudanese neighborhoods in Khartoum and other states to take forward his petition.<\/p>\n
