Will tour across state capitals in Darfur in the coming week along with Qatari mediator<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tijani Sese, head of the Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM) was sworn in as the president of the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) in Khartoum on Sunday by Sudanese president Omar Al Bashir.<\/p>\n

Sese will arrive in El Fasher with Qatari mediator Al Mahmoud on Monday and is scheduled to be in El Geneina on Tuesday. As part of his visit to Darfur, Sese is expected to be in Nyala, Zalingei and Daein as well, spokesperson of the movement Ahmed Fadel told Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n

\u201cSese and Al Mahmoud will be meeting with the political forces and civil society organizations in all these cities. The Darfuri people in these areas must welcome them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

LJM accused of military recruitment<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hamid Musha Kasha, the governor of South Darfur, accused the LJM of recruiting civilians for military training. He said that tents were being erected by members of the LJM without official permits.<\/p>\n

Kasha said in a press release that he had notified the military intelligence division in Nyala and carried out arrests of members who did not have official authority for the security arrangements.<\/p>\n

However, Ahmed Fadel denied having knowledge of any such activities. He claimed that certain elements were masquerading as LJM members and carrying out these recruitments. \u201cPeople should beware of the impostors and not fall for them,\u201d he told Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n
