He said that the displaced people were living in the open, without shelter or food.<\/p>\n<p>Other refugees told Radio Dabanga that local militias drove them away from their homes after killing at least 10 people and wounding 30 others. The survivors also accused the militia of taking over and burning down homes and shops of dozens of villagers. A lot of them were also allegedly subject to torture.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey plundered all our property, money, livestock and other belongings,\u201d one of them said adding that they had come to Ribesh locality in Northern Darfur after being forced out of their homes. However, the commissioner of the locality allegedly asked them to evacuate within 24 hours. One of the refugees told Radio Dabanga that the commissioner claimed to have received instructions from the central and state government of North Darfur to push out the refugees.
