Displaced tribe members say they need food, medicine and shelter<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 225 families belonging to Zaghawa tribes, who are displaced from their homes in Al Tuesha locality in North Darfur due to militia violence, made another appeal for help on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Nearly 1,500 people belonging to the tribe were displaced <\/a>from Kroya Laban, Uzban, Un Kankud and Likelik localities in the end of October and were left stranded between the border areas of North Darfur and North Kordofan for two and a half weeks.<\/p>\n

One of the displaced people told Radio Dabanga that a leader of Rizegad tribe, Saeed Madbin had offered to host their families in South Darfur’s Daein locality. \u201cWe are now living in a school in the north of Daein. A group of omdas and elders from Daein are currently providing food and shelter for us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He added that they will have to evacuate the school on Saturday making it dangerous for them with the forthcoming winter. The affected families made an appeal to local and international humanitarian organizations to provide food, medicine and shelter to them.<\/p>\n

During the raid of their homes in Al Tuesha locality, local militias allegedly killed 10 members of Zaghawa tribe and left 30 injured.<\/p>\n
