camp haven\u2019t received food rations from the World Food Program (WFP) since last October, sources told Radio Dabanga on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 21,715 displaced people registered in list of the World Food Program are suffering from lack of food rations for over a year in the West Darfuri camp.<\/p>\n<p>The leaders in the camp who spoke to Radio Dabanga attributed the reason to be the rejection of the displaced people to have the process of food distribution transferred from the WFP to the Chamber of Commerce in El Geneina.<\/p>\n<p>A leading figure in the camp said that the displaced people unanimously rejected the transferring of the distribution process from the WFP to the traders for a number of reasons, the most prominent begin the disability of the traders and the failure of the agricultural season in West Darfur and other agricultural areas in Sudan, along with expectation of famine this year in Darfur.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the displaced people in Riyadh camp wrote a note to the WFP during the middle of the month expressing their fear in transferring the distribution process to the traders, stating that 3,750 displaced people in the camp have not registered and enquiring on what the fate of those displaced people would be if the responsibility of the distribution if given to the traders.<\/p>\n<p>The leader asserted that they have not received a response from the WFP on the fears that they have raised and that the food rations, especially wheat, have not yet been distributed to the displaced people in
