When the husband tried to resist, they beat him with a sword. Then they raped his wife in front of him,\u201d the source said. During the attack, the gunmen allegedly stabbed the woman over five times which led to her death.<\/p>\n<p>The offenders soon fled to the city of Zalingei, the witnesses reported. The deceased was later transferred to Zalingei hospital and buried on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Another attack<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a similar incident, another refugee was raped by more than three members of an armed group in a small farm in Bareerah valley, south of Zalingei.<\/p>\n<p>A source told Radio Dabanga that the gunmen let their cattle enter the farm. When the girl tried stopping the cattle, she was brutally assaulted and gang raped by them.<\/p>\n<p>The perpetrators then fled to an unknown destination. The victim has been admitted to the Zalingei hospital where she is in a critical state.<\/p>\n<p>Government-backed militias have been accused of committing these coordinated crimes in Zalingei camps.
