The ministry of Justice \tconsidered the request of the Prosecutor of the ICC for the arrest \twarrant of Defense Minister General Abdul Rahim Mohammed Hussein as \ta political decision. The ministry considered it a selective decision that \tlacks legal ground and containing clear politicization of justice in \tterms of timing and events taking place in Sudan.<\/span><\/p>\n The armed forces asserted \tin a statement that the targeting of the Minister of Defense is \ttargeting to the armed forces. The statement stressed that the \tarrest warrant will not affect the morale of the Sudanese army.<\/span><\/p>\n Displaced people in camps \tin Qarsla coming from Deleij, Arola, Mukjar and Bendasi on the other \thand confirmed that Minister Abdul Rahim has committed those crimes \tand recruited militias with Ahmed Haroun. They hold him responsible \tfor the burning their villages, the rapes of their women and \tdisplacement. <\/span><\/p>\n One of the displaced people who is also a victims from \tWadi Salih where Abdul Rahim, Kushayb and Ahmed Haroun are accused \tof committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, said that the \tarrest warrant came late and should have been issued released from \tthe very beginning.<\/span><\/p>\n Imam Saddig Elmahadi, the \tleader of the National Umma Party called for an investigation on all \tcrimes committed in Darfur and for the achievements of justice and \tdealing realistically with the ICC as it is a part of the system of \tthe international community. In a press conference in Daein on \tSaturday, Elmahadi called on Darfur to become one province and one \tterritory and he renewed his rejection on adding states to the \tregion and the establishment of two states in Zalingei and east of \tDarfur. <\/span><\/p>\n
