Elsawarmi Khalid, spokesperson of the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF), announced on Friday that Ahmed Haroun , governor of South Kordofan, had survived an attack by the opposition Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Army (SPLA) in the region of Alatamor.<\/p>\n<p>Col. Khalid also added in a statement released by Elrai Elaam (Public Opinion) newspaper which is affiliated to the government that during Haroun\u2019s visit to Alatamor, the SPLA launched attacks to take control of the region. Col.
