The President of the Darfur Association of Students, Muhammed Idris detained at the University of Khartoum is entering his 11th<\/sup> day in detention.<\/p>\n Darfuri students told Radio Dabanga he has not been brought to trial and they are worried about what may be happening to him.<\/p>\n They accused university departments along with the security and intelligence apparatus of targeting them solely because they are Darfuri.<\/p>\n One student at Sudan’s University of Science and Technology said regardless of a Darfuri student’s political affiliation, security forces along with the university institutions were accusing them of being affiliated to rebel movements and targeting them as a result.<\/p>\n He said this has led to some students also targeting them with weapons, such as those affiliated with the National Congress Party taking dangerous firearms and knives into universities.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
