The Sudan Revolutionary Front claims it defeated government forces in Fataha in Al Lait Jar al Naby locality on Saturday in North Darfur<\/p>\n
Justice and Equality Movement military spokesman Badawi Sakin Musa told Radio Dabanga that JEM and the Sudan Liberation Movement Unity faction carried out the attack.<\/p>\n
He said the Front managed to gain control of 18 government vehicles.<\/p>\n
Musa said the Front is prepared to enter any area where there are government forces.<\/p>\n
Sudanese army spokesman Al Sawarmi Khaled Saad told the government owned Sudan news agency (SUNA) the army killed 40 rebels and destroyed many trucks.<\/p>\n
He said there was a number of soldiers killed and wounded but did not give a number.<\/p>\n
He accused the movements that entered Fataha of looting home\u2019s and the village market forcing them to flee.<\/p>\n
Badawi Sakin Musa strongly denied the Front had looted residents and that it had lost 40 fighters, describing the claims as \u2018false advertising\u2019.<\/p>\n
In a statement on Sunday the governor of North Darfur said the security situation was stable in all parts of Al Lait Jar al Naby following the attack on Fataha.<\/p>\n
He said the army took control and is in full control of all regions.<\/p>\n
