Witnesses from west Tabit, North Darfur, reported that the villages of Tangarara, Tabaldia, and Humeida, were exposed to air strikes on Friday September 28 between eight in the morning and three o’clock in the afternoon. No casualties have been reported so far.<\/p>\n

Radio Dabanga was informed by witnesses from the area that the bombardments came after a battle, which took place on Thursday afternoon in the same area between government forces and Sudanese Revolutionary Forces (SRF).<\/p>\n

The witnesses said that the bombardments caused residents to flee towards the farms as the bombardments caused the burning of about 150 acres of agricultural land. According to reports from the area, the fire is still spreading.<\/p>\n

Residents demanded the government of Sudan (GoS) to stop the air strikes, one of the residents told Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, SRF troops stated they seized more than 20 small Sudanese army vehicles carrying ammunition and light and heavy weapons, during Thursday’s battle which took place between Tabit and Shangil Tobai. It was also reported that they captured a number of militants, without specifying a number.<\/p>\n

Radio Dabanga was not able to contact the spokesperson of the Sudanese army for comments.<\/p>\n
