Eye-witnesses said that a 12-year old girl and a 28-year old woman were raped near the village of Suu Sawa, in East Jebel Marra, North Darfur, on Friday afternoon, 5 October.<\/p>\n

They told Radio Dabanga that members of the Sudanese armed forces were behind the attacks.<\/p>\n

Witnesses said a convoy of 13 vehicles belonging to the government forces, which was coming from El-Fasher, drove towards a well at about 3pm where some women were fetching water.<\/p>\n

Sources recounted that while some forces just stood on the side laughing, others approached them and said they had orders to rape all women suspected of having links with the rebels. <\/span><\/p>\n

The soldiers added that everyone in the area, including the rebels, should die and that their bodies must be disposed, sources continued. <\/span><\/p>\n

The incident took place about 15km north of Kunjara area, east Khazam Tinjur, in East Jebel Marra, where the government troops have a base. <\/span><\/p>\n

Local residents also blamed Al-Khadi, a pro-government militia leader, for inciting all the crimes and violations in the area. They said he is the \u201ceye of the government\u201d and should be brought to the ICC, in the Hague, the Netherlands. <\/span><\/p>\n
