Arnu Ngutulu Lodi, spokesman of the Sudan People Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), announced that the government of South Kordofan ‘arrested and summarily executed 16 civilians of the Nuba tribe’ on 5 November.<\/p>\n

According to Lodi, the civilians, from Aliri area in Talodi locality, were executed because they were ‘suspected to be SPLM\/A-N supporters’.<\/p>\n

He explained that two of the victims, Paramount chief Adam Juju and his brother Abdalla Juju, were a target since the elections in May 2011, ‘because of their ethnic background’ and because they were accused of having voted for the SPLM-N candidate.<\/p>\n

The spokesman reported that Aliri residents are ‘scared, suffering big trauma and fear the security elements may continue to capture more people’.<\/p>\n

He also affirmed that the South Kordofan governor, Ahmed Mohamed Harun, ‘never stopped the aggression against Nuba civilians since 2011’ and that a video previously published is a ‘clear evidence’ of these crimes.<\/p>\n

The 16 victims, according to Lodi are: Paramount chief Adam Juju, Abdalla Juju, Jalab Blora, Mohammed Akol, Mohammed Sulieman, Alfaki Kalo, Mattar Abass, Jallab Alfaki, Adam Hassan, Mohammed Tia Almaban, Adam Tago, Salim Kanu Almahdi, Ali Daudi, Altieb Konda Abu-rafas, Ahmed Musa and Margani Hassan.<\/p>\n
