Security forces arrested, tortured and interrogated a displaced man from camp Bindissey in Central Darfur concerning activities carried out by leaders and activists inside the camp, a source told Radio Dabanga.  <\/p>\n

As a result, the displaced Adam Abbekar was left with a broken leg, a camp activist said on Monday, 10 December.<\/p>\n

Abbekar was allegedly taken to the office of the security forces outside the camp, where he was interrogated about certain people whose names the authorities mentioned.<\/p>\n

However, when the detainee said he was just a displaced man who was not aware of what is going on inside the camp, he was beaten and subjected to \u201call kinds of torture\u201d, an activist recounted.<\/p>\n

He said Abbekar was found \u201cthrown somewhere near the camp\u201d on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The source complained about displaced and activists being harassed by members of the security services. He revealed the camp\u2019s sheikhs filed a complaint about the abuses to the Bindissey commissioner.  <\/p>\n
