The men shot the sheikh who died of his injuries on the spot. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The intruders continued by cutting off the hands of the sheikh&#8217;s wife and stabbed another man who was present at the sheikh&#8217;s farming plot.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to local witnesses the herders on camels, who have allegedly been armed by the local authorities, were angry because the 60-year old sheikh Ahmed refused the men to enter his plot of cultivated land in Wadi Bera, just two kilometers outside the official camp.<\/p>\n<p>After the men left, the wife was immediately taken to the local hospital of Garsila where she received treatment. A number of Ardeba camp residents went to the hospital after hearing the news. The citizens started a protest demanding the immediate arrest of the perpetrators.
