The commissioner of Saraf Omra, Kamaluddin Yahya Khalil, said the transportation of aid from his locality to the thousands of displaced in Al-Sref Beni Hussein \u201cis depending on loading and shipping logistics\u2019, when speaking to Radio Dabanga.<\/p>\n

Residents of Al-Sref Beni Hussein city are complaining that relief had not yet arrived to the town as of Thursday evening, adding that basic consumer goods are missing.<\/p>\n

Al-Sref Beni Hussein is currently housing thousands of displaced from areas affected by the Abbala\/ Beni Hussein tribal clashes that erupted in the gold mine of Jebel \u2018Amer almost three weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Items such as sugar, onions and tea are lacking. Residents and displaced told Radio Dabanga they have been hearing for days now that assistance is on the way from Saraf Omra but that \u201cnothing has arrived so far\u201d.<\/p>\n

Hussein Haroun, the commissioner of Al-Sref Beni Hussein, said roads between Saraf Omra and Al-Sref Beni Hussein are scheduled to open on Thursday. He told Radio Dabanga that government forces coming from Kabkabiya will escort the aid convoys to Al-Sref Beni Hussein.<\/p>\n
