An opposition leader and member of parliament in Khartoum is calling on national organizations to immediately provide support to displaced civilians in North Darfur, \u201cafter the government\u2019s failure” to do it.<\/p>\n

Dr. Ismail Hussein declared that, instead of delivering aid, the government has created \u201cobstacles and impediments\u201d for international organizations to provide assistance.<\/p>\n

On this note, a Zalingei camps\u2019 coordinator in Central Darfur told Radio Dabanga the government of Sudan is obstructing the movement of any vehicle carrying food from Zalingei to the localities of Al-Sref Beni Hussein, Saraf Omra and Kabkabiya.   <\/p>\n

The opposition leader is appealing to national organizations to immediately join foreign agencies in offering humanitarian relief to the North Darfur displaced \u201cbefore they die of hunger or of diseases\u201d.<\/p>\n

Thousands were displaced around the Saraf Omra, Kabkabiya and Al-Sref Beni Hussein localities following the tribal clashes between Abbala and Beni Hussein almost three weeks ago in North Darfur.<\/p>\n
