A displaced man was stabbed multiple times by members of a pro-government militia after he refused to disclose the location of the money he was allegedly hiding inside his house in Central Darfur.<\/p>\n
As it appears, the insurgents had been tipped off about Idris Adam Adam hiding three million Sudanese pounds in his house and organized the attack, a source suggested.<\/p>\n
Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that Adam of camp Bindisi for displaced was ambushed at gunpoint by three militiamen on Sunday evening and taken to his house.<\/p>\n
He was reportedly tortured, but did not disclose where the money was hidden what prompted the militias to stab him several times on his stomach, the source recounted.<\/p>\n
Adam is currently being treated at a hospital in Bindisi, sources say.<\/p>\n
Citizens told Radio Dabanga having filled several complaints to authorities about violations by militia leaders and about the poor security situation in the area.<\/p>\n
They asked local officials to put an end to the attacks by militias and prevent them from entering the camps, but noted that authorities have not \u201cmoved one finger\u201d to help them.<\/p>\n
