A displaced man of a Central Darfur camp has entered a hunger strike three days ago in protest against his \u201cunjustified detention\u201d for the alleged murder of a policeman.<\/p>\n

Abdul Rahim Yousef of camp Bindisi was arrested with several other displaced in connection with the killing in March. While everyone else was released, Boi, as he is known, has remained locked up. He denies having any links with the crime.<\/p>\n

Bindisi\u2019s displaced, contrary to their initial decision, decided to pay blood money due to concerns for Yousef\u2019s life, they said. \u201cRegardless, he remains in jail\u201d, some of them complained.<\/p>\n

Sources complained the health of the prisoner may be deteriorating and appealed to authorities to release him as blood money was paid.<\/p>\n

In a joint offensive last March, security services, police officers and the Sudanese army invaded Bindisi after finding the policeman dead one kilometer away from the site.<\/p>\n

Security authorities were said to have found footprints near the dead body that led to the camp, a source said, adding this was why the displaced were blamed for committing the crime.<\/p>\n

The displaced, on their turn, denied having any links with the crime and claimed they do not even have weapons to have killed the man.<\/p>\n

Garsila<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Sudanese security services moved Abdel Nabi Ali Ishaq and Abdel Shakour, detained since 21 March, from a prison in Garsila to Zalingei, Central Darfur. They were arrested inside Ishaq\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

In addition, a source confirmed that the male nurse Abdul Azim Omar Younis of Ardeba camp was released from prison. Younis, who works at the Garsila Royal Hospital, was arrested on 31 March.<\/p>\n
