A rebel group from Darfur that is reported to have battled the Sudanese army earlier this week published the names of three soldiers captured in the combat.<\/p>\n

In a joint offensive, the Sudan Liberation Army of Abdel Wahid (SLA-AW) and Sudan Liberation Movement for Justice (SLMJ of Karbino) are said to have killed 18 Sudanese officers and to have seized the Dobbo El Madrasa garrison in East Jebel Marra.<\/p>\n

The captured soldiers, according to Karbino, are: Majeed Saleh Abkar, from the Texas neighborhood in Nyala; Al Tayeb Mohamed Adam Yahya, from Umm Douanban in east Khartoum; and Al Shaby Hassan Al Hadi, from the Al Sad Al Ali neighborhood in Nyala.<\/p>\n

Besides seizing the garrison, rebel forces claimed killing 18 soldiers during Monday’s battles in East Jebel Marra.<\/p>\n

Although Radio Dabanga was not able to verify the information with the Sudanese army, local witnesses support rebels’s claims concerning the seizure of the garrison.<\/p>\n
