Police officers opened fire on the assailants killing one of them.<\/p>\n<p>The other insurgents, riding camels and horses, fled the area after exchanging fire with the police, eyewitnesses recounted.<\/p>\n<p>Camp\u2019s residents were \u201cpanicked\u201d and complained to Radio Dabanga about the high levels of insecurity at the site, especially after hearing about violent incidents in other camps.<\/p>\n<p>They said lootings and beatings carried out by armed groups happen frequently in Ronga Tas, adding that women are particularly vulnerable to being raped when they leave the site to collect firewood.<\/p>\n<p>The displaced also complained about the scarcity of drinking water the camp is facing \u201cfor a long time\u201d now.<\/p>\n<p>Ronga Tas\u2019 residents are asking UNAMID and the international community for protection.
