He added that around 600 families arrived to Girayda from the areas of Tabaldia and are now staying in the vicinity of the city.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the activist explained that around 500 more families from the village of Abu Jabra. The village was torched last week by pro-government militants. The families are currently staying in the outskirts of the city in a camp named Abu Jabra.<\/p>\n<p>Another 400 families arrived to Girayda camps from the area of Donkey Drisa which was exposed to an attack by militias, the activist stated. He announced that the total number of newply displaced reached 1,500 families and claimed that no assistance has arrived other than the Red Crescent for registration purposes.<\/p>\n<p>The activist appealed to international aid organizations as well as the Humanitarian Aid Commission to take immediate action in providing food, drinking water and tarpaulins for the families.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Militants kill displaced and loot cattle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\" lang=\"en-US\">In another incident, displaced  Ismail Abdul Rahman from Girayda camp was shot dead when militants attacked  the area of Eidan on Saturday, situated at about 20 kilometers west of  Girayda in South Darfur. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, witnesses said that  the militants, who arrived on camels, took three of Abdul Rahman&#8217;s  donkeys and threatened to attack Abuja&#8217;s market, one of the largest  markets in the Girayda area, on Sunday.
