The vehicles were on their way from Umm Dukhun to Garsila and were attacked near Bundisi.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that militiamen stopped the vehicles and initially asked each of the truck owners to pay them SDG 200 ($45).<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses said that once the drivers had paid the money, the gunmen said each passenger should pay a further SDG 50 ($11). \u201cOnce the passengers paid, the militiamen fired into the air, stripped the passengers of everything of value, including sums of money and mobile phones, and fled.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In Garsila on Thursday gunmen beat a displaced person from camp Ardeba. Abu Qasim was out in the open collecting firewood.
