The youth of the Al Sareif Beni Hussein locality in North Darfur have complained of the environmental degradation, lack of drinking water and the outbreak of jaundice.<\/p>\n
Mohamed Ibrahim, deputy chairman of youth mobilisation in the locality, told Radio Dabanga that the young people of the area have begun a volunteer programme called \u201cThe Mobilisation of Al Sareif Beni Hussein locality\u2019s youth\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey clean up water resources and burn the remains of dead animals, however, they face financial supply problems,\u201d Ibrahim explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cEnvironmental degradation, contamination of water sources and the outbreak of jaundice are the main problems causing suffering among the locality\u2019s population,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Ibrahim highlighted that these issues need some effort on the part of the State of North Darfur. \u201cWe therefore appeal to the Governor to expedite the negotiation of a sustainable peace. That will resolve all the problems in the region,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
