Four of the buses reportedly managed to escape and return to Nyala. Three of the buses were pillaged by the gunmen who also beat and robbed the passengers.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate incident on the same road, militiamen stole two vehicles that were being transported by tractor, and then fled.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday policemen on patrol to protect commercial traffic on the road came under fire in an ambush by gunmen.
